Een bloemrijk verhaal

An amateur naturalist studied the feeding behaviour of butterflies on his grounds from 1984 till 1991. In this periods 17 species of butterfly were observed on 57 plant species, mostly wild grassland flowers. The survey focused on which flowers attracted butterflies and whether there was a preference for certain flowers. Special attention was given to preferential combinations of butterfly species and nectar-supplying plants.
