In august 2009 the blister beetle Stenoria analis was recorded for the first time in the Netherlands. Near Maastricht triunguline larvae were observed on Colletes hedearae males and near a C. hederae nest site a male beetle was collected. The life cycle of S. analis and the perspectives of this beetle in the Netherlands are briefly described. Other European records of S. analis are requested In order to support an international initiative to describe the recent distribution and expansion of the species.
