Mervyn Roos informed us about the occurrence and the number of Dutch bumble bee species (29) and the survival prognoses in an ecological setting. To keep the vulnerable species in our fauna we still need to know more about the biology, the habits and habitats and the specific ecological demands. The most vulnerable species have disappeared already for quite a long time and for some other delicate species the situation is worrisome. In a second talk we learned how to identify species of some difficult bumble bee groups. Particularly, females may give some nasty IDproblems. New combinations of characters were proposed for a new determination key.
