I understood from the interesting title of a lecture at the 'Hymenopterologen-Tagung’ 2008 in Stuttgart that it was mostly workers of common wasps which pollinated broad-leaved helleborine; this lead me in 2009 to study the sex of pollinators of this plant. I discovered that I was not the only one who found many polinating males on this plant; I read the article again and came to the conclusion that the experiments that seemingly supported the hypothesis were actually interpreted incorrectly. I especially wonder about the Y-tube experiment and antennogram.
