Eind april kwam een brief binnen bij de secretaris waarin werd gevraagd om plaatsing in Afzettingen van het volgende verzoek om contact: "I am a researcher in Molluscan Paleontology working on the Pliocene Tabianian of Southern Spain. I am also working on the Pliocene of Portugal together with Dr. Carlos Marqués da Silva of the Paleontological Department of the Natural History Museum in Lisbon.
