Modern rock mass analysis tehniques are used to evaluate the stability of the Neolithic Flint Mines and methods of mining at Grime's Graves and Rijckholt – St. Geertruid. These, in conjunction with the Brighton Classification of Chalk lithologies, provide a further means of assessing the skills and economy of the Neolithic Flint industry.
