The authors report on a subadult female Bearded Seal (total length 193 cm) found in the harbour of Yerseke (51°30’N, 4°03’E), the Netherlands, on 27-VI-1988. The exhausted and emaciated animal was brought to the Seal Recovery Centre at Pieterburen where it soon improved. Unluckely is later became infected with canine distemper; the seal succumbed on 12-VIII-1988.
