Ecological data of several habitats of I. pumilio near Munster, Westfalia, GFR, are presented. The habitats are: (I) a shallow pool on peaty ground, overgrown with Molinia, Eriophorum and Sphagnum; (2) a pond with alkaline water, situated on chalky clay in a limestone pit; (3) deep oligotrophic peat bogs with strongly acid water and containing Sphagnum; (4) an eutrophicated large but shallow peat bog with strongly acid water and overgrown with Juncus and Molinia. In all habitats /. pumilio lived for at least 3 consecutive years.
