The fmal-instar larva of A. braueri is decribed and illustrated. This is the first formal description of a larva in this genus. The known and suspected distribution in New Zealand of this archaic member of the fauna is discussed. It is suggested that the larva described as Procordulia smithii (White), by G.V. HUDSON (1904, New Zealand Neuroplera, West & Newman, London) was A. braueri.
