The new sp. is described and illustrated on the basis of a series of 10 d (holotype: Arroyo Yacuÿ chico, Iguazù, Misiones, Argentina, Jan 5, 1979; deposited in the Landessammlungen für Naturkunde. Karlsruhe). It is related to P. aeneoviridis Calvert, 1909, and occurs on shaded forest stream boards.
