Malgassophlebia westfalli spec. nov., nouveau Tetratheminae afrotropical des forêts du Gabon oriental: imagos, larves, notes biologiques et discussion sur le genre (Anisoptera: Libellulidae)

The adult and larval stages are described and figured (holotype <J: Nyame Pende R., 10-111-1978). The species inhabits small forest streams all around Makokou. Its oviposition differs significantly from that of M. aequatoris Legrand. The genus is redefined and split up into 3 species-groups. The affinities and taxonomic status of these are discussed, and a key to the males of the different groups is provided.
