Malgassogomphus robinsoni gen. n„ sp. n. is described and figured from a single (5 (Sainte Marie Island, Madagascar, March, I960), deposited in the MNHN, Paris. Its relationships are discussed and the new taxon is tentatively placed in the Phyllogomphinae Carle, 1986.
