A checklist of the Odonata of the South-West province of Cameroon, with the description of Phyllogomphus corbetae spec. nov. (Anisoptera: Gomphidae)

A checklist of the dragonflies of the South-West Province of Cameroon, based upon field work undertaken between 1995 and 1998, and a survey of historical records, is given. Notes on seasonal occurrence, habitat requirements and taxonomy are provided. As new is described: P. corbetae sp.n. (holotype <J; Kumba, outlet stream from Barombi Mbo, 20-1X-1997; allotype 5: Limbe, Bimbia, Elephant River, 4-VII-I996).
