Aeshna tinti spec. nov. from Chile and redescription of A. elsia Calvert (Anisoptera: Aeshnidae)

A. tinti sp. n, is described and illustrated from the Chilean Tarapaca and Antofagasta regions (holotype S and allotype $; Chile, Antofagasta, El Loa prov., Tilopozo, 23°49’S 68°15’W, 1-1996; deposited at MLP, Argentina). A redescription and drawings of A. elsia Calv. are provided, as well as a comparison of the new sp. with all the sympatric Aeshna spp.
