The new sp. is described and illustrated from a single S (holotype): Taiwan, Hsinchu Hsien, Chienshih, nr Yuan Yang Lake, alt. 1670 m, 11-V1H-2000; to be deposited at Taiwan Forest Res. Inst., Taipei. It is compared with S. dido Needham.
