The larva of Isomma hieroglyphicum Selys, 1892 (Anisoptera: Gomphidae)

A 6 final instar larva from the N of Madagascar is described and illustrated. The taxonomic position of the sp. is discussed on the basis of a morphological comparison, using 3 specimens of the closely related genus Phyllogomphus, and the description of the adult Malgassogomphus robinsoni.
