INTRA-STAGE VARIATION AND POST-EMBRYONIC growth OF Argia moesta (HAGEN) (ZYGOPTERA: COENAGRIONIDAE). — Larval growth patterns of Argia moesta (Hagen) were studied under controlled environmental conditions in the laboratory. Variation in size and shape of the head capsule, the prementum, the metathoracic femur, the metathoracic wing-pads and the median caudal lamella were analyzed. Four types of development were observed (12, 13, 14, 15 instars) and the longer the development time, the larger was the size attained by final instar larvae.
