AN INTERESTING RECORD FROM SARDINIA: BRACHYTHEMIS LEUCOSTICTA (BURMEISTER), A NEW GENUS FOR THE ITALIAN FAUNA (ANISOPTERA: LIBELLULIDAE) — A teneral 9, taken Aug. 25, 1979 at the Lago di Monte Pranu, SW Sardinia, Italy, is brought on record. As far as Europe is concerned, the sp. was known so far from 2 localities in Portugal and Spain only. The teneral condition of the specimen suggests its Sardinian provinience, though it is questionable whether or not the sp. is capable of permanent breeding under the Sardinian conditions.
