Note – The translation is based on the original metrics of the authentic Japanese text, combined with English translation, as published by the 12th International Symposium of Odonatology, Osaka, Japan, 1993. CHALUPSKŸ, 1988, ibidem 3(2): 20. – The a cappella performance of the Slovene version will be given during the 14th International Symposium of Odonatology, Maribor, Slovenia, July 12-25,1997. On the same occasion, (he instrumental performance of music arrangement, by Professor P. RamovS (Ljubljana, Slovenia), is also on the programme. – For her life work, the Author of the translation has been awarded (1995) the prestigious Slovene national “Sovre Award” for excellency in poetry recasting. – [Eds]
