In the southwestern Netherlands, in the municipality of Borssele, the beginning of a Sparrowhawk nest was detected high up in a deciduous tree in a small woodlot in late March 2012. The subsequent nest building and incubation behaviours are described, as well as the nestling and post-­fledging behaviour. The – probably three – chicks fledged early July, and remained at the nest site until late July.
