In the southern Netherlands, two instances of (possible) kleptoparasitism of Buzzards were recorded, one each in 2012 (April, possibly Buzzard) and 2013 (March), both observed near the same Goshawk eyrie. The second case involved two Buzzards chasing a prey-carrying male Goshawk (with the female trailing). The spring of 2013 was typified by a prolonged cold spell and poor food supply.
