A review is given of the malacofauna of Pampus, a fortification on an artificial island in the IJsselmeer (former Zuiderzee), the Netherlands. A total of 36 species, 25 terrestrial and 11 aquatic molluscs, could be registered. Three landsnails, Arion rufus, Arianta arbustorum and Cepaea nemoralis, are only known from old records. Most probably they are not living anymore on the island due to overgrazing by sheep during the early nineties. Possible ways of colonization of the island by landsnails are given. The number of aquatic molluscs is under-represented in the checklist. Recommendations for follow up research are given.
