This is an invitation to professional malacologists and amateurs alike, to cooperate with me in the ongoing project describing the gastropods in Wikipedia. With almost 300.000 articles in three years time, this internet-encyclopaedia is already the largest in the world (much larger than any encyclopaedia in print). It is growing at a phenomenal rate (more than 10 new articles per minute!!). Furthermore, Wikipedia-articles tend to come up on top of Google-searches. All this underlines the project I’m proposing.
