The slug Arion lusitanicus was found in Wageningen (province of Gelderland) in 2004, which represents the second anatomically confirmed record so far in the Netherlands. In view of the situation in surrounding countries, the species is probably much more common. Readers are requested to examine the large Arion species in their gardens, where the species is most likely to be encountered.
