Helicella (Helicella) obvia Hartm. has through the passed 75 years been introduced in various parts of Central and Northern Germany and now in rapid extension, reach already in isolated spots the Baltic coast (Danzig, the islands of Wollin, Usedom and Rügen) and in the neighbourhood of Rendsburg in Southern Schleswig, then the occurrence in oceanic districts as Denmark and the Netherlands is to be expected.
