Milax (Tandonia) sowerbii (Fér.) in Nederland

Reference is made to the discovery of Milax (Tandonia) sowerbii (Fér.) in the Netherlands in recent years. Descriptions and figures are given of the animal’s exterior, and of the general anatomy. Some observations on the behavior of the slugs in captivity, especially their conduct during mating are added. The last paragraph gives an account of the distribution of this species and related forms in Western Europe.
