Notes on recent and fossil Neritidae 3: erratum

Due to an oversight by the editorial board of Basteria a regrettable mistake has crept into my paper ‘Notes on recent and fossil Neritidae 3. Neritina juttingae, new name for Nerita aculeata Gmelin, 1791, non Muller, 1774 (Mollusca, Gastropoda)’ in Basteria 37: 39-40, 1973. The second sentence in the second paragraph on p. 39 should read: ‘This name, however, is not available because it is a junior homonym of Nerita aculeata Müller, 1774, which again is a junior synonym of the West African potamidid Tympanotonos fuscatus (Linnaeus, 1758).’
