Mr. A.W. Janssen kindly drew my attention to a paper of G.S. Coen which I have overlooked. In this paper Coen (1940) described Astarte fusca irregularis. Therefore Astarte irregularis Spaink, 1972, has to be rejected as a homonym. I now propose for my species the name Astarte neerlandica nom. nov.
