The second part of this series deals with the subfamily Odontostominae. This subfamily is characterized by the presence of denticles and lamellae in the aperture, which, however, may secondarily be absent due to reduction. The sculpture of the protoconch is the same pattern as in the Bulimulinae. The Odontostominae are confined to South America. They occur east of the Andes and, with some exceptions, south of the Amazona. The southernmost limit is in the Buenos Aires Province, Argentine.
