While revising the numerous Portuguese new nominal species of Helicellinae introduced by Locard (1899) it turned out that Helix labiosa (pp. 88-89) and Helix utriculina (pp. 128-129) in fact belong to the subfamily Hygromiinae, genus Ponentina Hesse, 1921. As a future reviser of this obscure genus would hardly look among Helicellinae for his nominal taxa, it seems useful to publish this observation. Unfortunately no further comments on the systematical position and the up to date nomenclature of both forms can be given by the present author. The type-material studied is kept in the Laboratoire de Malacologie, Paris, and was kindly placed at my disposal for study by Mrs. F. Danrigal.
