Iolaea amazonica spec. nov. is described from the Miocene Pebas Formation of Peruvian Amazonia. This species adds to three other pyramidellids, two mesogastropod species and two bivalve species that represent (restricted) marginal marine intervals in the late Middle to early Late Miocene of Western Amazonia.
