A new species of living scallop of the genus Mirapecten (Bivalvia, Pectinidae) from French Polynesia

Mirapecten boutetorum spec. nov. is described from French Polynesia. It is compared with several congeneric species from the Indo-Pacific and Gloripallium spiniferum (Sowerby 1st, 1835) from French Polynesia.
