Between 20 and 29 May 1993 the authors searched for chitons at the west coast of Normandy (France). Four species were found viz. Lepidochitona cinerea (L., 1758), Acanthochitona crinita (Pennant, 1777), Acanthochitona fascicularis (L., 1758) and Leptochiton scabridus (Jeffreys, 1880).
