Corbicula fluminea and C. fluminalis are recorded from waters around Amsterdam. Especially the occurence in the IJmeer, part of the IJsselmeer (Lake IJssel), is worth to be mentioned. It might be an addition to the foodsupply of wintering ducks during winterseasons
