Is it possible that Meditterranean snails survive a cold winter in the Netherlands? Populations of Cernuella jonica, Cochlicella acuta and Hygromia cinctella in Amsterdam and Zandvoort were visited after the cold winter 1995/96. The results are positive, all species were found alive.
