The ’ANM-project’ (Atlasproject Nederlandse Mollusken) started early this year (1997). Its main aims for the near future are: 1 Compiling distributional data on the Dutch land-, freshwater- and marine molluscs into one or more ’atlasses’, 2 Composing a ’Red List’ for the Dutch Mollusca, 3 Advise and activities concerning protection and management of molluscan habitats.
