The distribution of Auriculinella erosa (Jeffreys, 1830) [ = Leucophytia bidentata (Montagu 1808)] is now under investigation. Many of the old localities from the 1960s) have changed drastically through human intervention (e.g. the Delta-works). The species still does occur in the Netherlands, but is very rare. Ovatella denticulata (Montagu 1803) was also found alive. Both species should be placed on the ’Red-List’ of Dutch molluscs.
