The author concludes that Euglesa Leach (in Jenyns 1832) has to be considered a nomen dubium. In his opinion, the reintroduction (Pirogov & Starobogatov 1974) of this name into the synonymy of Pisidium C. Pfeiffer, 1821, is ill founded.
