In the Netherlands live-collected specimens of Acicula fusca (Montagu, 1803) and Platyla polita (Hartmann, 1840) are only known from a few localities. At Geulle (the Netherlands), in the ‘Bunderbos’, the author discovered populations of both species A. fusca and P. polita. The molluscs are living there in a deciduous woodland, near a brooklet with calcareous water, between moist leaf litter, mosses and other moist low vegetation.
