On 5 August 2014, over a woodlot of c. 180 ha (Raspaille forest) near Geraardsbergen and Galmaarden in Belgium, a first calender-year female Goshawk was recorded (semi-)hunting on pigeons, crows and raptors, when her flight turned into display with leasure wing beats including spreading her undertailcoverts. This female may have fledged from one of the two nests in Raspaille forest (fledging date normally in June).
