Een bijzondere ontdekking bij beklimming van buizerdnest Buteo buteo: zes jongen en drie ouders

A nest of Buzzards in the northern Netherlands contained six chicks on 31 May 2015, varying in age (as based on maximum wing chord) between 23 and 30 days old. During the nest visit, three adults were noticed circling over the nest, an indication that two females were involved. This was also visible in the ages of the chicks, suggesting batches of 2 and 4 chicks. At least four surviving chicks were recorded after fledging.
