Interview with the winner of the Lenders Prize 2018 At the annual meeting of RAVON on November 10th 2018, Wim de Wild received the Lenders Award (bronze sculpture of a tree frog and a charter) as a mark of appreciation for his work in the fi eld. His unrelenting eff orts to protect and study herpetofauna are invaluable and the reason for awarding him this well-deserved prize. Wim coordinates many activities in the province of Utrecht. He is active on several reptile monitoringroutes in Utrecht and the Veluwe, he provides advice to landscape managers, gives excursions, supervises students and trains new volunteers. Wim is an ongoing encyclopedia for domestic and foreign species. The many articles about nature and the Atlas for Amphibians and Reptiles of Utrecht are of high quality.
