Discovery of the Roman snail – Helix pomatia – in Oostelijk Flevoland

Oostelijk Flevoland was recovered from the IJsselmeer in the fifties of the 20th century. In 2010 the presence of 100 species of land- and freshwater molluscs had been demonstrated by the author. This report adds one more species: the Roman snail (Helix pomatia) that was found in different lots of deciduous wood planted some 55 years ago. The origin of the specimens remains enigmatic
